BOB ESCOBAR

Twice named New York State West Coach of the Year (1992 and 2000), Bob has played and coached over 39 years. He is the former Owner and Operator of the Syracuse Indoor Sports Center, running that center for 20 years. Bob is the founder of the powerful Blitz Soccer Organization, and his teams have won many prestigious tournaments indoors and outdoors. Bob’s teams have won 9 Indoor National Championships! Many of his players go on to play college ball.

  DOUG NUNN Doug has been coaching and training Liverpool High School soccer players for 20 plus years.

He has been training youth and high school soccer teams in his position as JV and Varsity head coach starting in 1982. Since 1999, Coach Nunn has held the position of Head Coach at Liverpool High, where his teams have been duly noted for in 2002 and 2003 as accomplishing the Section 3, Regional Championships and New York Sate finalists in Class AA.

He has also been the Director of the Town of Clay Soccer Camp since 2000, with youth groups ranging from ages 5 to 18 years. In the past, he has worked with Lemoyne College’s soccer camps, coaching youth soccer groups.

For over 15 years, Coach Nunn has been assisting Bob Escobar with an array of training and coaching positions. Most recently he has been the Assistant Coach for two Blitz teams, Samba Beat and Magic.


  MARK FALINSKI Mark was a three-time High School 1st team Central Oneida League All-Star while playing at Notre Dame of Utica and went on to play college soccer at SUNY Utica/Rome. Mark was a 2 year team MVP at SUNY Utica/Rome as well as a 1998 inductee into the SUNY Soccer Hall Of Fame. After Mark’s college career completed, he played semi-pro soccer for the Dodge City of Utica organization. Mark has been coaching youth soccer teams for many years and is currently coaching the Girls Barcelona team and all the boys and girls goalkeepers in the Syracuse Blitz FC organization.
